David Gehry

AKA BrachyNerd » (The Short Nerd)

Hello, I'm David, and welcome to Brachynerd. With over a decade of experience in emergency medicine, my career has spanned roles from education and emergency response specialist to senior medical officer. Currently, I am focused on innovative projects, including the development of Zaag University (ZU), a cutting-edge institution aimed at advancing technology, medical education, and emergency response.

My work includes integrating advanced technology in emergency response, particularly in policy development and emergency response planning. This involves creating frameworks that improve the efficiency and effectiveness of these critical missions. Through my research, I explore how technology and medical practices intersect to drive innovation. When I can, I also share my projects as open source (on GitHub).

Outside of my professional life, I have a passion for snowboarding, drone flights, cooking, and making my own home made ice cream & hot sauce. No, I do not try them together. These hobbies not only provide a balance to my professional life but also fuel my creativity and problem-solving skills. My blog and vlog offer a glimpse into these interests, along with my thoughts on various topics in emergency medicine and technology.

You can often find me sharing insights on Twitter or networking on LinkedIn. Sometimes I blog, sometimes I vlog, and other times, I’m just enjoying a good cup of coffee while reflecting on new ideas; when I have them, I might post them to Instagram.
